Texas State Genealogical Society - TSGS has changed it web site awards to include 2 new categories. There is now a category for Individuals with a web site on their family genealogy and a category for an Individual with web site of general nature like a GenWeb site or DNA Study. Cash prizes will be awarded to top 3 winners in each category. You do have to be a TSGS member with our TSGS logo and link to our web site. banquet on November 9th.

The San Antonio Genealogical & Historical Society will present it's 49th Annual Fall Seminar, Saturday, November 8, 2008 at the John Calvin Presbyterian Church, 8102 Midcrown San Antonio. The all day event will feature talented & popular writer, & lecturer Dick Eastman . The hours are 9am-4pm with registration beginning @ 8:30 am. The Library is located @ 911 Melissa Drive, off Blanco Rd, outside loop 410 and is open Monday 10-4, Wed. 10 am-9:00 pm, Sat. 10-4, Sunday 1-5. Members research free. Non-members may research for $5.00 per day. Tours of the library are free.
