The Lauderdale descendants and neighbors continue to be buried here, albeit only a few. The cemetery is located on private land , SE of Bald Mountain about 1500 feet off the county road. Lauderdale, Assistant Surgeon, 19th TN Calvary, CSA purchased this land in 1891 and it remains in the family. After the Civil War he became a minister of the Christian Church, becoming the first full time minister of the First Christian Church, Breckenridge, TX where he remained until his death in 1895.
