Crosby

Ogle / Hawkins & Allied Families

reunion is held the first Sunday in August every year at the Crosbyton County Pioneer Museum building auditorium, 101 West Main Street, Crosbyton, Texas. The event is a potluck luncheon and usually starts around 10 am. The first reunion was held in 1968, down at Silver Falls, and was moved into town in the mid 1990s. Most years attendance is between 80 and 100. Attendees usually tour the museum, visit family gravesites at the Crosbyton cemetery and many head to Silver Falls Park in the late afternoon.

Hispanic Organization of Genealogy and Research

(HOGAR de Dallas) was founded in 1997. We meet every third Tuesday of the months of September, November, January, March and May at 6:30 P.M. in Casa View Library on the corner of Joaquin and Ferguson in Dallas.

The organization has compiled into annual Journals the studies, research, stories, and lineages of not only our members, but others that have contributed to the Journals for the past ten years.

West Texas GEOLOGICAL Society

hosts monthly luncheon meetings on the second Tuesday of each month. Permian Basin Section SEPM meetings are on the third Tuesday. Cost is $15.00. Farr Chapel Homecoming

is held on the Second Sunday in June. Due to summer heat and no facilities (no power, a/c, water) we keep the reunion brief. We have a short business meeting in the chapel about 10 am, with Dinner on the Grounds (covered dish lunch) immediately after. The cemetery is also open for visiting.
