Babbs Cemetery TX Collin cemetery
The Babbs family were victims of a bloody Indian raid in the early 1800's which resulted in the mother being killed by a slit throat and the two older children stolen by the savages. Years later the children were recovered but they were never normal. The father was buried crossways from the other graves because he said he had been crossways all his life. They are buried in what is known as the Babb Cemetery on the land of John L. Lovejoy at that time. it is outside of Chico, and there is a historical marker concerning the raid on the highway.
