You don't have to be a professional genealogist or an experienced webmaster to help. Whether you have a little time to contribute or would like to take responsibility for a county, there's a place for you.

The statewide project also relies on volunteers working behind the scenes.
Opportunities may include reviewing county sites, helping with web pages, managing special projects, and contributing other skills that keep TXGenWeb strong.

What matters most is a willingness to help, communicate, and keep useful information available to researchers.
Experienced volunteers, tutorials, and other resources are available when you need help. You don't have to do everything alone, and County Coordinators are encouraged to build a team.

You don't have to hold an official TXGenWeb position to contribute. Cemetery records, photographs, transcriptions, family histories, local information, and other genealogical material can all help another researcher. Contact the appropriate County Coordinator to see how you can contribute.
